Dear Readers,
Before starting sewing tutorials I would like to write something about my sewing journey.
The credit for all the sewing posts goes to my mother, who taught sewing to me. My mom runs a sewing class in Surat from past 25 years. We use to see her sewing clothes. She use to sew many fashionable dresses for me and my sister. We use to feel very proud in our friends when we wore dresses created and sewn by her. She taught to us the art of sewing and to design a dress. Later on my both bhabhi also learned to sew.Today also my mom designs varieties of frocks and chaniya –choli for her grand daughters, cousins and my bhabhi (in India we say bhabhi to brother’s wife) also help her in sewing the clothes.
All the basic diagrams of my sewing are by my mom . So they are totally reliable. I will explain them in a detailed manner. Also I will try to show the cutting of the cloth of that particular pattern . Mostly I will post tutorials for salwar-kurta,tunics,kurtis in which I am expert.

hi… happen to see your blog today…. very impressive…. just loved it… started to study the posts…well to introduce myself am an engineer basically and i always had interest in sewing…i just stopped upto small hand embroideryies.. recently thanks to my baby girl i took a break from my job and thus from hectic schedules… i planned to utilize this time to fullfill the item which is there for a long time in my wish list… SEWING…. so whenever i feel little free it is for sewing… am going to study your blog until i get my own sewing machine… suggest a good sewing machine model and brand to start with… meet you soon with lots of doubts 🙂

In my view sewing machine models by BROTHER Co. are quite nice. It has all type of models esp. for home sewing. I have one of its model, and touchwood it’s working smoothly.
