Measurements for boat neckline:

1. LENGTH                   40″
2. SHOULDER              14″
3. BUST ROUND          36″
4. WAIST LENGTH     15″
5. WAIST                        34″
6. HIP ROUND              38″

Boat Neck Kurti Drafting

Below is boat neck draft. First we will draft the pattern. Now here you can directly draft the boat neck kurti pattern on fabric or you can first draft it on paper. Let’s move quickly……..

 

How to make boat neck

1.  Mark 3-12 = 2.5″
2. Mark 1 – 13 =Scale/6 +half inch
3. Mark 1″ above the point 13. This will be your point 14 . (13- 14 =1″ above)
4. Now with the help of French curve make the neckline shape.
5. Curve from 12-14 is back boat neckline curve.
6. Curve from 12-13 is front boat neckline curve.
7. Mark the shoulder slope.
8. Make the armhole curves.
9. The front armhole is from 3-B-6
10. The back armhole is from 3-A-6

TIPS: TO MARK THE BOAT NECKLINE CURVE WHAT WE DO IS

• DIVIDE THE SHOULDER LINE  1 – 3 IN 3 EQUAL PARTS.
• 1 PART IS IN 3-12.
• 2 PARTS IN 1-12
