1-2 =Sleeves length+1.5″ On folded side.
1-3 =Scale/4 – 1″ (scale means half of chest measurement)
2-4 =Sleeves round/2 + 1″
3-5 =Chest/4 + 1/2″
4-6 =1″and same way from 5 to A and draw a line and join 5-A
Mark 7 as the midpoint from A-3
1-8 = same measure as that of 3-7.Join 7 to 8.
Draw a straight line from 1-A,mark point 10 on this line.
1-9 =1.5″
10-11 = 1/2″
10-12 = 1/2″
Give the curve shape from 9-11-A and 9-12-A.
Cut the sleeves from 1-9-11-A-5-4-2. Now after cutting open the fold and for the front scye shape cut along 1-9-12-A-5-4-2.
Now your sleeves are ready.The curve 9-11-A is back shape and 9-12-A is the front shape.
Always keep in mind that the deep hole/scye is for FRONT.

Get ready for the layout of the pattern on fabric.

Fold the fabric in half such that the selvedges lie on one another.And trace the pattern as shown
and cut the fabric.Voila!!!! our cutting is done .Isn’t .it quite simple?

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. I have a doubt with the kameez sleeve. After drafting how should i cut the sleeve. Is it along 1-A-5-4-2 and 1-A-5-4-6-2. Pls reply because when i tried cutting the draft A-5-4-6 portion was extra.

Cut the sleeves from 1-9-11-A-5-4-2. Now after cutting open the fold and give the front scye shape i.e cut along 1-9-12-A-5-4-2.
Thank you so much for such a fast reply. I tried stitching with the given measurements but somehow it did not turn out well. The kameez was not a perfect fit. After stitching the sleeve there was lot of extra cloth left. Will try again.

the sleeve is still a problem for me. My chest is 37 inches and shoulder is 14. In the kurthi draft 1-4 is 7. While in sleeve draft 3-5 is chest/4+1/2″ which 9.75. After cutting the sleeve these dont fit perfectly with the kurthi. Can you pls confirm if 3-5 in sleeve draft is correct.
