Hi, my dear bloggers…..
I am back with new sewing tutorial. Hope you all are stitching your dresses now by your own. We all love to wear salwar kameez with good looking necklines. Sewing neckline tutorial is also quite easy and simple.
Material required:
Lace, piping cord, bias strip. We will need 2 different fabric for bias strip. In the tutorial they are of pink and green color. My lace is of blue color. The pink strip is for piping and green one for attaching on the neckline.
Piping cord is easily available in tailoring material shops. It comes in various thickness so buy the cord which has less thickness as thin cord pipings have nice look.
1) First keep ready front and back necklines. Below snap is of front neckline.

2) Cut the bias strip from cloth and stitch both the strips as shown. The width of the strip will be of 1.5″.and the length as desired. Bias strip should be cut along slantwise of grain of fabric.

Cut all strips and place as shown below.

Place right side of one strip on another as shown below.

And stitch along the white line. And now your bias strip is joined. Now fold it lengthwise and stitch along the seams.

Now bring it inside out with the help of chopstick or any long needle.

Now we will make piping. For this take a bias strip of width 1.5″ and place the cord in the fabric at the side facing the needle.

In the below snap the piping is ready .

Now stitch the piping strip lengthwise with the lace.

Stitch this strip on the front neckline.

After finishing this part attach the green bias strip on this neckline.
Voila!! neckline ready……..

You can attach it on sleeves also. The snap below.
Then finish stitching your whole dress and share with me your work.

The finished top image got deleted by me foolishly,so I cannot show you the finished top. Sorry for it. And when I came to know about my foolishness it was too late as the top was delivered to the customer.
Hope it was easy tutorial for you.
Happy Blogging.
