Whenever we stitch a dress,we want some unique and fancy necklines.Necklines enhances the look of the dress.So today we will learn to stitch fancy neckline.
Before cutting the neckline on fabric,make paper draft of the required neckline and then trace and cut it on fabric.
This fancy neckline is quite easy.
Material required:
Lace or you can use the border of the fabric like I’ve used,canvas.
Below diagram no.1 is of the border of fabric and the details of it:
A-B= 1.5 – 2″ or as desired.seam allowance included.
A-C= here measure the whole neckline and add 2″.
Diagram no.2 is the shape of neckline,which you will draw on the fabric.
A-E=5″
A-B=1.5 – 2″
E-C=Draw a slant line from E and end it on point 13 of neckline.Refer simple kurti tutorial.
The length of the lace is around 22″ in my pattern.You should first measure the whole front neckline and take accordingly the lace.

The snap of neckline. I first attached the border in the middle as shown below.
Now take the whole lace and mark 5″ on it and sew slant wise as shown in diagram 1 i.e from point C I have shown it with red dotted line.The below snap shows it.
When opened the lace it will look like this.
The ready lace for neckline.
Pin it and stitch it on the neckline.
The finished neckline….
